Axcera's ATSC M/H Preprocessor/ Multiplexer provides DTV broadcasters with a comprehensive and cost-effective solution to combine ATSC mobile and fixed content into a single transport stream to feed an ATSC broadcast transmitter or ATSC Distributed Transmission System (DTS). Designed from the ground up to the ATSC Mobile DTV specification (A/153), the MHPM-A will meet the needs of the most demanding system implementation.

The Axcera MHPM-A Preprocessor/Multiplexer accepts a ATSC fixed DTV data stream (A/53 standard) as an ASI input (SMPTE 310 optional). The MHPM-A accepts a ATSC M/H Mobile DTV data stream (A/153 Standard) as MPEG4 IP encapsulated data through a standard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection. The two streams are processed, combined, and then output to an ATSC Mobile DTV (A/153) compliant ASI stream. This stream can then directly feed any ATSC A/153 compliant post-processor/modulator in a single-transmitter DTV broadcast system, or it can feed multiple DTV transmitters in an ATSC Distributed Transmission System (DTS).

The MHPM-A remote management interface is provided via an Ethernet connection which can be accessed using a standard Internet browser.
