The new 6X™ Series liquid cooled high power solid-state transmitter, the new 8XC™ Series Mobile Multimedia Base Station and the new Innovator® CX compact low power transmitter/translator/gap-filler are making their debuts at the National Association of Broadcasters trade show, April 14th through 17th, at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The new 6X Series liquid-cooled transmitter is designed to provide television broadcasters with a product that will meet their needs like no other on the market. This state-of-the-art transmitter uses our frequency agile exciter and the latest LDMOS devices for broadband operation across the entire UHF band. Power amplifier systems operate at the highest power density available reducing floor space requirements. The very compact and completely modular design uses parallel amplifier and power supply modules, which can be removed and replaced while the transmitter is on the air. Additionally, power supplies are configured for power sharing and N+1 power supply option is available for the highest level of reliability. The 6X Series liquid-cooled transmitters are available in power levels up to 30kW DVB-T or 40kW ATSC in a very small footprint.
The 8XC Series Mobile Multimedia Base Station is the result of a global design strategy to operate with most any current digital television standard, including DVB-T, DVB-H, DVB-SH, ATSC, CMMB (STiMi), DAB/T-DMB, MediaFLO™, SDARS and more All aspects of the product design, from frequency range to multi-standard compatibility, reflect our long-term commitment to service providers worldwide. The 8XC is available in both indoor and outdoor configurations making it ideally suited for mobile multimedia applications. The 8XC Series Mobile Multimedia transmitters are available from 200W to greater than 1kW average power and are available in multiple frequency bands including VHF, UHF, L-Band and S-Band.
The Innovator CX is a compact and economical low power transmitter that can be configured as a transmitter, regenerative translator or a gap-filler to meet most any low power requirements where space and cost are a consideration. The gap filler version, which outputs the same channel as the input, is available with an echo-canceling, low delay option which is especially important in SFN applications. This unit offers many of the same features found in higher power transmitters, such as digital linear and non-linear precorrection, a frequency agile exciter, broadband amplifiers and an available SNMP/Web browser interface. The Innovator CX is available at power levels up from 5W to 250W ATSC or 3W to 200WDVB with up to 50W available in a single, compact rack-mount package.
