Axcera To Display Complete Line of Television Broadcast and Mobile Media Transmitter Products at NAB 2006

APRIL 20, 2006, LAWRENCE, PA, USA - Axcera, a leading manufacturer and integrator of best-of-breed technology for the television broadcast, mobile media and broadband wireless access industries, today announced that it will display its full line of television transmitters and mobile media base station products in booth number C8519 at the National Association of Broadcasters trade show, April 24 through 27, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Highlighting its leadership position in the mobile media industry, Axcera will conduct an operational mobile media demonstration from booth C8519, including a live DVB-H broadcast using an Axcera Innovator MV mobile media outdoor base station. The demo will cover the Central hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) with a mobile video signal for reception on the latest handheld devices. The Innovator MV is a complete base station solution that is available in a standard rack for indoor use, and in a climate controlled environmental enclosure for high reliability in outdoor installations.

Remaining in the forefront of distributed transmission (DTx) technology, Axcera will highlight its DTx offering as part of an operational demonstration in the ATSC DTV HotSpot, located in the LVCC South hall. Axcera introduced the industry's first commercially available DTx transmitter products at NAB 2003, and remains the only company today delivering production DTx equipment to customers who are building these efficient and effective single frequency networks.

For low power broadcasting, Axcera will display analog, ATSC, DVB-T and DVB-H versions of its Innovator LX low power solid-state product line. These analog and digital transmitters, translators and boosters offer a high level of features and are available in many configurations, including Dual-Use analog/digital operation and both heterodyne and remodulation DTV translators.

High power broadcasters will be interested in Axcera's Innovator HX High Power UHF and VHF Solid-State and Visionary High Power IOT-based UHF transmitter lines. The Innovator HX uses the latest RF power devices in high-gain, broadband power amplifiers, a frequency agile exciter/driver and an advanced in-circuit programmable control system to ensure the greatest possible longevity through the digital transition and beyond. The Visionary Series allows the customer to choose a single- or multi-collector IOT, air- or liquid-cooling, and digital or analog operation, all in the same transmitter design. By accommodating tubes from various manufacturers, the Visionary Series ensures that the power amplifier will be supported for the life of the transmitter.

Along with these products, Axcera will also be showing its Axity3G non-line-of-sight Broadband Wireless Access system, powered by IPWireless, and 5700 series MMDS/BRS/EBS transmitter system.
